Bargaining opened up today between CWA Local 6372 and Brightspeed. After reviewing the bargaining survey sent out by District 6, the biggest items were PAY, Job Security, and Retirement. The Union kicked off by resubmitting several proposals related to retirement and our existing contractor language. THESE PROPOSALS WERE REJECTED BY BRIGHTSPEED. The Union also passed an amended wage proposal that included COLA. The Company countered with another wage proposal. The Executive Board continues to work into the late hours in an attempt to gain some movement in these areas to improve the lives of each and every one of our members.
